Why Chinese fate prediction stopped at hours?

I often had the question of why Chinese fate prediction stopped at the level of hours but not extending its coverage to minute or seconds? Why the logic which the fate prediction using birth time base on doesn’t apply to minute or seconds? What scared status does these unit of time held? Since one criteria of validity of fate prediction would be differentiating different fate pattern of people born at different time, but it is simply illogical when that implies those who born at the same hour and same place share the same fate.
First that is due to the technological limit of time measurement at that time. Second is because Chinese had the idea of five elements from the year of birth, month of birth, day of birth and (double) hours which determine the destinate of individual which give us eight units. In according to 5 elements theory, one’s life would be in perfect balance if an individual is birth at a time which 5 elements is distributed evenly among his/her year/month/day/hour. Since 8 is indivisible by 5, therefore the philosophical implication is that nobody born with a perfect life. Just like Freud assert that the ongoing conflict between ego, superego and id is what drive the personality development; Chinese also assume that there are inherent imbalance within each of us, and it is the imbalance/imperfectness drive the development of each person. Imbalance is what give birth to human psyche and society!

The problem in the theoretical framework of Five-Elements hypothsis in Chinese culture

1. How do we define an object as belonging to Metal, Water,Soil, Fire or Wood? What attributes do we take from an object as a defining attribute? For instance, computer is made of metal but require electricity to operate(Fire), yet the software and programs it run is base on Mathematics(wood) while it also posses structure(soil) and in state of constant change(water). Do we use an object’s function, structure, mode of operation, what it made of or what it require to operate to differentiate the category it belong to in Five-Elements hypothesis? Also, does human body belong to Metal, Water,Soil, Fire or Wood? How about dynasty, do we simply define by its name?

2. The quantitative issue. What is heavy and what is weak and how do we differentiate it? Heavy Fire could vaporize a small pond of water, Great amount of soil could put out a small fire, small amount of soil can’t protect from great flood, small amount of soil can actually aid Great Fire because it prevent it from exhaust itself too readily, small metal knife can’t chopped down a large tree… etc.

3. Too big a room for interpretation. Metal, Water,Soil, Fire or Wood all are related to each other one way or another, there never exists two elements that bear no relationship. For instance, Metal bear
Water while melted by Fire, Metal come from Soil as mineral, Metal could chop Wood. What happen then when Metal encounter Wood? How do we know which is the most accurate interpretation?

4. Some attributes of Five elements appear to be self-contradictory. For instance, Water is known to be conservative, flow downward as stabilizer in cement, while Water is also associated with fluid and flexibility, so which is which? Fire is known to be expanding, growing upward, creative; yet it is also associated with stubbornness and arrogance. again which is which?

Unless all those questions are sorted out, otherwise we can’t expect Five-Elements hypothesis to offer much value to humanity or Chinese culture.

Hong Kong no longer demand Universal Suffrage

Since communist China is forever had reservation about adopting the ‘Western style’ of democracy in Hong Kong, I thereby propose a way to escape from this entrapment: In exchange of we not supporting universal election of Chief Executive, we demand universal election in at least 2/3 of the seats in Legislative Council and cancellation of all appointed seat in District Board while expanding its power to the level of former Urban Council(市政局) by 2012. We are too used to the idea of appointed governor, be it from London or Beijing; and since any policy can’t be adopted with the consent of Legislative Council which the majority is universally elected, then there is practically self-autonomy of HKSAR.

我上次提出如果你是認同反基/無神論/世俗主義者的理念，則你沒有權利去反對香港的民主化及自由化，我知自己在反基界覆歷不深，而且中文可能是最水皮的一個，但嘗試完全由同反基/無神論/世俗主義者的理念去推導出我們在2012普選的立場。

我驕傲的以為同反基/無神論/世俗主義者的社會運動在最近2年的成就遠遠超過了過去的十年/廿年，一直以來和基右明光社打得最有色有聲、最有成效的是 GLBT社群﹐但是當基右滿以為可以把手伸到自由派的堡壘: 大學時，因用力過猛，導致同反基/無神論/世俗主義者/GLBT社群/自由派的強力抵抗，OMG參考外國同反基/無神論/世俗主義者的做法，用投訴聖經令基右後欄起火，為同反基/無神論/世俗主義者社會運動尊定了根基，由我帶頭開始了香港第一次反基右遊行﹐依我的觀察，反基/無神論/世俗主義者之前只有零零星星無組織及不持久的抵拒，始終無法引起香港世俗社會的共嗚，但OMG用此巧妙的手段把是次事件帶到香港主流社會的面前，功不可沒。後來我和紫草的亂審處更把基右主導的淫審處打得落花流水，到今天還未敢處理我們提出的部份投訴，把戰事持續下去，因為同反基/無神論/世俗主義者的社會活動的一個弱點是部份人承繼了自由派散漫的習性，往往只是一次過式參與，只要HKSAR或基右把時間拖長就能大大削弱我們的士氣，以致上佳的策略到最後都不了了之。

後來因為Youtube刪除OMG不雅聖經漫畫衍生的宗教霸權關注行動就打破了此種行動模式，充份把社會議題和同反基/無神論/世俗主義者的理念結合起來，不是單單的只把焦點集中在一兩件社會大事內，我們於是更上一層樓，不單在重重河蟹拑制下用一次出席率過預期人數500%遊行就成了蘋果日報的頭條，更能維持香港世俗社會對此的關注，亦成為基右除社民連外的主要政治鬥爭對象，相信宗教霸權關注行動可能是有史以來香港基督徒提得最多的溫和反基/無神論/世俗主義者的社會運動，即使最近似乎靜了下來。我們再度出席七一遊行，令香港世俗社會不得不繼續關注基督教尤其是基右對社會帶來的負面影響，雖然出席的人數不及第一次及部份人走散了，但相信我們的策略是走對了，這條路我們必須再走下去，走出奇蹟為止。

運氣只降臨在努力不懈，不輕易妥協的人。

我以為反基人仕沒有理由不支持香港的民主運動，一如GLBT是最堅持香港民主化的一群，可能參與得比部份基督徒還早，道理和我們一樣，反基雖然人數不下基督教徒，但由於社會的政治、經濟、文化均被基督教徒把持，我們絕對是弱勢社群，不單在職業、生活、交友、感情上被合法歧視，更沒有一個強而大力的組織為我們爭取，亦從來不見任何立法會議員、政黨及政治組織會把任何我們關注的議題帶到區議會/立法會，由馬灣公園到生物科教授進化論到所謂淫審咨詢都沒有參考我們的想法，香港政府在立法及政策研究時會繳請基督教道德專業家﹐教人權時找明光社，幾時聽過它會繳請佔人口近十份一的公開反基人仕?淫審處中有沒有一個公開反對基督教教義的人仕?由律政司到財政司，由財政司到行政長官，有哪一位官員是沒有任何宗教信仰?立法會中5%的基督教佔了近7/8成的議席!

在正生書院事件，HKSAR對基督教義無反顧 ﹐有哪一個傳媒膽敢提出正生書院由政府資助，而正生又是提倡用福音去戎毒，等於變相直接用公帑資助基督教?是不是HKSAR在灌輸青少年有問題一定要向基督教求救的觀念?這在美國叫違反政教分離法!這還未夠，梁美芬被恩福堂堂主撐，不正正是基督教的魔瓜明目張膽入侵香港政治?梁燕城有待無恐地指我們為性淫亂份子有份參與破壞黃成智的辨公室，梁美芬指我們煽動他人圍剿恩福堂，而且還常常在文匯報出稿，這說明了什麼?

香港政制一日不民主化，政府運作一日不公開、透明，不保障為公義泄密者的權利，基右還可以繼續把持香港的政治，只有全面民主化，打斷所有在政治上的私相授受，基右才不可以既在預委員有一票，又有5成的學校為其訓練新兵，在幾家最大的教堂作政治動員，更在明報、亞視、有線電視有固定的輿論陣地，沒有民主，哪來自由?每年基督教人數以萬為單位上升，要是到了2017/2022，在沒有政教分離的香港被教會學校培養出香港人口的40%為基督教徒，起了三個馬灣公園，連蘋果、明報也不再理會反基的聲音﹐社會有5%人相信智慧設計論及視蔡志森為救世主，互聯網的道德標準由全部是基督教人仕管理，亞視無線各自每天播出8小時基督教損款節目(主要在深夜)，所有付費電視都沒有任何星相/風水及玄學節目，反基如何不會被邊緣化?反基不會因反基立場餓死街頭?不會因找不到異性朋友而發瘋?不會因被處處歧視而向社會報複，最後因犯不道德罪而困死在獄倉﹐又或者因「反社(教)會行為」被強迫進入精神病院，又或者入讀正生的 20間分校，不信聖經成為聖奴就踢你出校，流落街頭成為性奴?

你相不相信基右在壟斷了公權力時會仁慈待反基人仕? 還是像他們對付GLBT人仕一樣，天天口誅筆伐，批鬥到你崩潰為止。我的冰漓還可以大學畢業?恐怕中學也因思想不檢而被逐出校;還有數不盡的無宗教人仕被集體欺凌，不少家長會說，生了一個無神無道德的兒子/女兒不如親生殺死他/她，以免害人害己害父母!

因此，綜合以上各點，我以為在2012年普選問題上最合乎反基利益及訴求的立場是:
A. 2012年全面普選，到時只要反基社群團結，可以爭到立法會6票，成為關鍵小數，類似馬灣公園及HKSAR意圖為智慧設計論大開中門的事不可能發生，而淫審咨詢亦不可能得出要增加的社會工作界及教育界成員的荒謬結論，而我們提出的要求公開淫審員的宗教背景一事則當我們不存在!

B. 2017單普選/2022雙普選，2009年把宗教歧視加入現行歧視法，2010年訂立政教分離法，2012年教育全面去宗教化，淫審制度改為陪審團制度或改為公訴，舉證責任在投訴人而不是被投訴者，取消第三級，同時公開他們的宗教/政治背景，由公衆旁聽整個過程，個別人仕(如張民柄)違反專業守則可以永不錄用;

我大意是要HKSAR如要推遲雙普選，則必須向反基社群顯示一點誠意，暫時用法律及政策去降低基督教勢力對反基的威脅、及每日都在教會學校發生的合法欺凌;否則，我們應該向HKSAR顯示點顏色，上次社民連只有數百人包圍HKSAR總部，曾蔭權卻一個也不敢控告﹐要是次我們用近3 萬人分頭包圍明光社、恩福堂及HKSAR總部一天，癱瘓政府運作，不過我們總人數的十份一而已，何以迫欺善怕惡的曾蔭權被數百個基右份子一嚇就要改法例名稱，而數千數萬不到他不理會我們!
又或者我們每天發動一千人包圍明光社、恩福堂及HKSAR總部，以野貓式示威持續一月，每天訴求不同，令傳媒不得把我們消音，令HKSAR不得不正視香港世俗社會存在近 200年的合法歧視問題，一個人權、公義及民主的社會，不能容忍基右霸權。

事在人為，反基人仕，你以為如何?

食鬼遊戲的主意一個

原文在這裏，這篇只是翻譯它的意思;
通 常食鬼遊戲都是用家一直被幾隻鬼追箸，用家要一路逃跑，一路盡快吃盡分佈於迷宮每一處的豆豆，而其中有四粒是分佈在四角落的，它們的特殊用途是改變用家和 鬼的角色，在有限時間內改寫遊戲規則，以前用家必須逃避鬼，規則是當他們相遇代表用家玩完，而現在則是相反﹐鬼必須逃避用家，要是鬼踫到了用家則鬼必須重 新由迷宮中央再開始。
我的想法為了增加遊戲的刺激性，我們可以給用家自己改變遊戲進行的時序，加入健康程度來模擬現實，這些豆豆被分成二/三類， 一類是增加用家的能量，當用家吃掉它們則可以愈走愈快，越過某臨界點時則改寫遊戲規則，現在鬼必須逃避用家，要是鬼踫到了用家則鬼必須重新由迷宮中央再開 始;另一類是減低用家的能量，當用家吃掉它們則會愈走愈慢，越過某臨界點時，遊戲規則則會是用家必須逃避鬼才能生存。換句話說，即使是一模一樣的迷宮，但 遊戲規則會因用家的策略和處境而變，一局當中其實是暗藏了許多局。而可以改變的健康指數則代表了人生在世是沒有絕對的優勢式劣勢，一切視乎局勢轉變及玩家 如何運籌為握!
(更古怪的主意可以是玩家的健康不能太好或者太差，前者會自爆而死，後者會因衰弱而亡!)

解迷宮的一個數學方法

這篇文章翻譯自這裏，原作者是我，想可能早有數學家提出，只不過是了一了自己的心願而已。
要解迷宮就必須借助矩陣，而且一定是具備可解的條件，就是迷宮可清清楚楚地拆開成由外而內的一層層，每一層之間是獨立(換句話說，如何改動這一層也影響不了另一層的空間分佈)，而用可通達性矩陣(accessibility matrix)就可以完整地描述這一層的空間分佈，而每一層的空間分佈指的是它到底被牆璧分成了幾多個不可以不經另一層才抵達的區間，簡單點說，如果第一層被分成了三區間，玩家處身於其中一個區間中是不可能在同一層穿牆而到另一個區間，其他遊戲的物件也需循守同樣的規則，這些區間亦是獨立的，發生在一區間的事不可以影響的另一區間。另外，我們亦假設玩家必須由一層進入最近的一層，不可以有隊道由第一層跳到第三層。
可通達性矩陣(accessibility matrix)就是整個解迷宮方式的靈魂，它借用了圖論的慨念，把一層中各區間能否去到另一層的各區間用1和0去表達，例如第一層有3個區間而第二層有5個區間，則我們可以用一3*5的可通達性矩陣來表達雙方的互通程度;又或者用一幅三點到五點的可通達性圖來表達。我們可以如是者把由第一層到第二層，第二層到第三層….如此類推的可通達性圖或n幅可通達性矩陣來表達。如此我們便完整地述描整個迷宮的可通達性，要解迷﹐即利用可通達性圖找出一條在入口所在的層及區間到出口所在的層及區間的路徑，而通常迷宮都是把入口定在最外層的一個區間而出口定在最外層的另一個區間，另外亦可利用n幅可通達性矩陣作運算而求指定的解，用人算來可能會很麻煩，但用電腦去解則一點難度也沒有。

而網絡審查的魅影，亦正在無聲無息中，意圖伸延到香港。

去年，香港政府提出《淫褻及不雅物品管制條例》諮詢文件，由蘇錦樑（民建聯前副主席、香港商務及經濟發展局副局長）操掌大旗。當中運用誤導手法欺騙公眾，例如以「澳洲、法國也強制ISP（互聯網供應商）提供過濾服務」為由，提出ISP層面的過濾建議。但這種說法完全違背事實，捏造論據。(*2)

今年，政府又公佈了一項誤導市民的民意調查，並希望透過這種充滿誤導性質的工具作為民意基礎，以求達到從嚴規限網絡資訊的目的，重施誤導之技倆。(*3)

缺德如此的政府，又如何「興禮樂之教」，反對「不良資訊」？不知明日香港，會否只許高官狗嗡，不許poor guy鳴冤？

昔有03年50萬人民反對廿三條，今有網絡廿三條潛伏於下半年的第二輪諮詢。

一切和政治無關,我們很誠實!

最近，香港特區政府「順應」民情，特首、乜都唔理的政治助理及各局長都減薪來表示與市民共渡時艱。這項政策的長短處不是令我想寫這篇文章的原因，令我相當氣憤的是香港特區政府再三聲明這事與政治無關，令我聯想到之前財政預算案的各項「炒冷飯」提議也是與政治無關。到底香港特區政府什麼的政策是和政治有關呢?是不是遲一點連林瑞鱗也會說香港雙普選方案也是和(香港)政治無關?香港特區政府事事都與政治無關，則曾蔭權這位自號的政治家選特首來幹什麼?既然香港沒有政治，當然不需要政治家當最高的政治領袖，自然更不需要立法會的一班有票無權的政客，更不須要什麼選舉，還談什麼雙普選呢?

到底這位自號政治家當香港人的智力水平有幾低?是不是他們以為只要自己再三這樣說，而大部份傳統都不加嘴嚼「如實報導」，多說幾次就全香港都相信香港特區政府的一衆官員都是天生的大好人，心中完全沒有考慮自己的利益及前途;又或者正如基督教徒多看聖經就以為聖經是真理，基督右派信徒多聽幾次蘇穎智的演講便當他是真心為同性戀者好?

這事又不是叫曾蔭權支持香港獨立，又不是叫民建聯支持立即雙普選，為什麼明明可以坦誠的時侯，卻不向香港人示範什麼叫做人最基本的誠信呢?是不是一旦承認這政策是懷有明顯的政治目的，它的政治效果立即消失?為什麼動機居然可以否定行為?為什麼香港的政治只停留在「懷有不可告人的目的」的層次，政客為什麼不可以開誠佈公他的策略是什麼?香港不是封建皇朝，而立法會又永不可能通過推翻曾蔭權的投票，為什麼曾蔭權及香港特區政府如此懼怕香港的輿論呢?什麼叫「飲香港水、食香港飯」的地地道道香港人，原來就是無法坦誠面對香港人的所謂政治領袖，曾蔭權如何帶領香港人呢?

明知說謊會被人即時拆穿，仍然選擇繼續說謊，這是在示範什麼樣的道德操守呢?香港特區政府還理不理會它的道德權威呢?是不是香港特區政府要全香港人及早適應，將來不論官方及傳媒都是清一色的謊話?什麼人都不可信呢?是不是香港特區政府要全香港人及早適應，將來不論官方及傳媒都是不道德的?全世界人人都不道德呢?
